About Me
Who I Am, What I Do, and What I Believe In
Hello and welcome to my personal website! My name is Kirill, and I am a passionate programmer with over twenty years of hands-on experience in the world of technology. Whether you stumbled upon this page by chance or have a specific interest in tech, open source, or personal philosophies, I hope you will find something meaningful here. Let me tell you a little bit about who I am, what I do, and what truly matters to me.
My Journey in Technology
I have always viewed technology as a powerful tool — one that is designed to make
people’s lives better, easier, and more fulfilling. I’m deeply enthusiastic about all
things technical, but I approach my work with a healthy dose of common sense and
responsibility. To me, gadgets, software, and computers are not ends in themselves; they
are means to help people, to improve lives and support meaningful progress.
This outlook shapes the choices I make professionally. No matter the financial
incentive, I refuse to take part in the creation of weapons or any technologies that
could harm others or go against my fundamental beliefs. My values, which I sometimes
jokingly refer to as my “personal religion,” are rooted in kindness, respect, and a
commitment to building rather than destroying. You will never find me idolizing
celebrities or following trends for their own sake—I have no idols or icons; I simply
strive to be the best version of myself.
My Values and Worldview
At the core of my worldview is an unwavering commitment to peace. I am a pacifist, deeply
and unequivocally opposed to violence or killing for any reason. For me, the most
important qualities in people are love, compassion, and mutual respect, especially when
perspectives differ. I believe that every person has the capacity—and the
responsibility—to be a creator, to foster a sense of comfort and harmony in their homes,
communities, and even their countries. Life is most rewarding when we learn to cherish
the simple things and appreciate what we have.
I live honestly, respecting the law and the people around me. I believe that integrity
is not just an ideal but a way of life.
Professional Background
When it comes to my career, I value loyalty and stability. Since 1999, I have devoted my professional life to a single company — Relmax. Over the years, we have been through a rollercoaster of ups and downs, facing crises and celebrating successes side by side. I am not one to jump from job to job in search of the next big thing; I believe in growing alongside a team, weathering storms together, and building lasting relationships.
My Dream Work
If I could design my ideal job, it would be work that genuinely makes a positive
difference in people’s lives. I love collaborating with others—there are few things more
rewarding than bringing people together to create something meaningful. I am a strong
believer in open-source software and would be thrilled to work on projects that are open
to the world and help move society forward.
While it’s true that any project can bring in a paycheck, experience has taught me that
real happiness and satisfaction come from doing work you truly enjoy. I am not
interested in developing yet another generic online store or banking application simply
for the sake of profit. I want my code to bring joy and benefit, not just income.
Technical Skills
Over the course of my career, I have worked with a wide range of technologies and
programming languages: C/C++, Delphi, Borland C, Perl, PHP, C#, Java, JavaScript, CSS,
and React. That makes me a true full-stack developer, comfortable working on both the
backend and frontend of projects. My current preference for backend development is Java,
while for frontend I work with React — although I’ll be the first to admit that I am not a
React expert, since 95% of my time is still spent on backend logic.
I have participated in all sorts of projects and encountered many different approaches,
including some truly unique code written by developers from all around the world.
Areas That Inspire Me
I am especially interested in developing for mobile devices running Aurora OS and in contributing to the evolution of Linux distributions. My dream is to see Linux become as seamless and user-friendly as macOS—and I believe we are not far from achieving that goal.
A Quick Note
Before you reach out, I want to make it clear that I do not take on work involving
hacking, illegal websites, or adult content. No matter how much you offer, these are not
projects I will ever consider.
